Summary of Position

This posting is for a Permanent Full-Time Bus Driver for Unity and surrounding area, commencing October 2nd, 2024. Bus Drivers are an important part of the school team by providing safe and reliable transportation for our students. This particular route, UN8, starts and ends Northwest of Unity and requires about 200 km of driving each day to pick up and deliver approximately 32 students to and from school.

Qualifications

• Valid School Bus Endorsement is required;
• 5 years driving experience;
• A clean Driver's Abstract;
• Satisfactory results from a medical examination in accordance with Board policy and The Highway Traffic Act is required;
• Related training such as courses in first aid, defensive driving or heavy equipment operation would be considered an asset.

• be able to handle various physical tasks involving lifting, bending, twisting, turning and climbing;
• have the ability to prioritize multiple demands and effectively manage time;
• be willing to work in varied climates and conditions;
• have excellent communications skills;

• genuinely appreciate working with children.
