Summary of Position 

This posting is for multiple Educational Assistant Positions in the Battlefords commencing August 25th 2025.  On the application, applicants will have the option to select Permanent, Temporary, Full-Time, Part-Time and School preferences.  Full-time hours of work are 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 190 days per year.   

Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioral support as required by students and directed by teachers. 

Positions are available in the schools below.  Applicants will be given an opportunity to indicate which schools they are interested in applying to within their job application.

• Bready Elementary School 
• Connaught Elementary School
• McKitrick Community School 
• Lawrence Elementary School 
• POD EA - can be moved within the Battlefords to other schools if necessary to cover needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
• Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
