Living Sky School Division is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Teacher (1.0 FTE) to join Cando Community School as a Middle Years Teacher (Grades 7–9) beginning August 26, 2026.

The teaching assignment will include a range of middle years subject areas, with flexibility based on student needs and school programming.

This position offers the opportunity to work within an alternative school calendar, including several 4-day workweeks and approximately 14 Fridays off throughout the school year.

Cando Community School is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school located in the Hamlet of Cando. The school serves students from Red Pheasant Cree First Nation, Mosquito First Nation, and surrounding communities.

Staff are committed to creating a learning environment that is inclusive, relationship-based, and responsive to the diverse cultural and learning needs of students.

• Demonstrates a commitment to incorporating First Nations history and perspectives across the curriculum through an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens.
• Is skilled in differentiating instruction within an alternative learning environment
• Builds strong, meaningful relationships with students to support engagement and success
• Advocates for student needs and incorporates student voice into learning and school life
• Values organization, flexibility, and collaboration as part of a school team
