POSITION:   Tradesperson

TYPE: Permanent, Full-time (10 hours/day, 4 days/week)

LOCATION:    LSKYSD Facilities Team - North Battleford, SK

START DATE:    June 2, 2025, or a mutually agreed upon date

COMPENSATION:   $24.27 per hour starting wage

Salary, benefits and pension are in accordance with the current CUPE agreement

Living Sky School Division is looking for a skilled and dedicated Tradesperson to join our team in our facilities department. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe and functioning facilities across the division.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and deliveries around the school division. About the Position

Typical responsibilities of a Tradesperson include:

• fabricating materials (metalworking) and performing non-journeyperson work to improve the safety, appearance, and function of facilities.
• performing groundskeeping in the Battlefords: grass cutting in the summer and snow clearing in the winter.
• delivering facilities materials and supplies that require special care or timely delivery.
• helping facilities journeypersons with project work.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Intermediate skills in welding, machining, or metalworking obtained through formal or informal training.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
