Hillsvale Colony School

Hillsvale Colony is a farming community located outside of Cut Knife, Sk where people live and work together. This way of life has allowed them to maintain their culture, religion, language and customs. Hillsvale Colony School offers kindergarten to grade 9 programming and encourages students to help and learn from one another. The close knit community is very supportive of the school and offers a unique multi-grade opportunity for staff to really focus on the needs of each student and build genuine relationships with them as they move through their school experience.

Summary of Position 

This posting is for a Permanent Full-Time Educational Assistant Position at Hillsvale Colony School, commencing August 25th, 2025.  Hours of work are 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday.  This full-time position may be split into two part-time positions for the right candidates.   Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers.

 
Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
• Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
